Students at Ouarzazate University Are Demanding Changes.

As in many Moroccan cities, Ouarzazate city is not an exception. University students are protesting since Oct 22nd. They have stopped their courses till the university administration approves their demands.

Students are demanding many changes to be done in the university system, including having an electronic database for grades, opening Master programs at the university, and teachers taking their responsibility concerning grading exams and respecting students.

University Students have had a meeting with the Ouarzazate university dean, Youness Belahsen, after many attempts on Oct 26th. They reported that the dean was responding diplomatically to their questions about the situation at the university, and according to them, those are not the answers they want to hear.

Currently, study is on hold at university waiting the students’ demands to be answered. Will it be answered?
